Piano Lessons Can be Fun!

Filed Under (Articles) by admin on 22-10-2006

There are essentially two ways to learn piano - note reading or chords. For those who want to spend years learning how to play other peoples music, note reading is the way to go.

For those who want to create their own special music, chord understanding is a must - and much easier to learn. It is far better to learn how to make music first than it is to read it on a piece of paper.

Imagine a writer forced to copy another novelists work. Insane right? But that’s essentially what people do when they recreate another composers work. It is not a creative act but a recreative one because while the pianist’s interpretation may be artistic, it does not mean that he created something original.

I’m not saying that great composer’s works should not be recreated for others listening pleasure. I am saying that it’s a good idea to understand that there is quite a difference between Beethoven composing something and someone else playing it.

Having said that, the benefit of learning how to make music first is that you understand the underlying principles of the thing. For example, let’s go back to our fiction writer. If he looks at another novelist’s work and the structure of the work, then he is beginning to see how the thing is made. This is entirely different than what goes on in the classical music world where a performer can read music, but does not know the principles that go into it’s making.

Elementary School Fundraisers Are No Different From Others

Filed Under (Articles) by admin on 22-10-2006

If you are thinking of elementary school fundraisers there are many things to choose from. There are many companies willing to provide you with items to sell and they usually do this at a reasonable rate so you can walk away with a nice profit at the end of the day. The elementary school fundraisers are usually left up to the moms of the kids to get these things together. To have your fundraiser you will have to decide on what product you want to sell.

There is not much difference between elementary school fundraisers than with middle school fundraisers or high school fundraisers. The bottom line is that the school needs money for various reasons, but the product you choose may have to differ from elementary to high school. Another factor is that you may get a lot more help in the middle school fundraisers than what you would verses the elementary. With the lower grades, there may be a added problem of closely watching over the kids. Whatever the grade level, elementary, middle or high school fundraisers should be fun for anyone that participates.

You can choose a tried and true product or choose something that is new wave. Just keep in mind there is always a chance with a new wave product, your elementary school fundraisers may not be as successful as with a product that you know for sure is going to sell. It is best to research the product you choose before you purchase it. This will

How A Golf Fitness Book Can Transform Your Game

Filed Under (Articles) by admin on 22-10-2006

A golf fitness book that is written to give you ready-made golf fitness programs, exercises, step-by-step instructions and illustrations can quickly transform your golf game.

There are so many “so-called” golf fitness books on the market; but when you open them up you see dozens of pictures of golf models sitting on exercise machines in the gym.

This is NOT a golf fitness book, this is a book pertaining to “general” fitness, but with the title revised to catch the golfers eye. In my mind, this is a little deceptive and can frustrate the consumer.

When I was doing research for my golf fitness book (manual) I was extremely disappointed. Having been a certified fitness professional for over 20 years and specifically working with golfers the last 10 years I was expecting some good body’s of knowledge on the subject.

I was extremely let down and even felt like I wasted my money getting them. This motivated me to put together my golf fitness book (manual) so that a golfer of any age or fitness level could apply it immediately.

What are the components of a complete golf fitness book?

The golf fitness book should cover strength specific to golf, flexibility, aerobic conditioning (endurance) and nutrition.

These components should be directed at a golfer, not a person looking to build or tone muscles or just improve their physical fitness.

It should also discuss starting points for golfers at every age and fitness level. Have a golf fitness evaluation right in the book to determine your ‘current’ fitness level
